Labia runs as a native desktop app. The Chrome extension is a companion used to detect supported browser meetings and connect them to the local app.

- Install Labia Desktop on your macOS or Windows computer.
- Grant the requested local microphone and screen recording permissions.
- Install the Labia Chrome companion extension.
- Optionally connect Google Calendar read-only inside Labia Desktop.
- Join a supported browser meeting and let Labia open the live assistant.
Why Google Calendar is optional
Calendar access is used only to show upcoming meetings, meeting links, and local reminders. Labia can still run local setup and licensing without Google.
